Bright, joyful, and sprinkled with color, these Funfetti Cookies are a sweet reminder that God delights in the little moments of our lives. Just as every sprinkle adds its own tiny burst of happiness, each small blessing He gives us fills our days with unexpected joy. These cookies are made to celebrate that simple truth — that even in ordinary baking, there is room for gratitude, warmth, and the cheerful goodness He places in our hands.

Funfetti cookies are little bursts of joy — soft, sweet, and sprinkled with color. They’re the kind of treat that brings a smile before the first bite, perfect for feast days, celebrations, or any moment that needs a touch of simple happiness. These cookies come together quickly and fill the kitchen with warmth, making them a lovely bake for families, kids, or anyone who loves a cheerful dessert.

Either you are making these for a birthday party or a just as a craving, I promise they will NOT let you down! They're buttery, soft, chewy, and full of sprinkles, they are a dream! ☺️

What you're going to love about this recipe:

-Texture... if you like a soft, chewy cookie, then this one is for you!

-Completely from-scratch! No box-mix around here.

-Melted butter for better flavor! (A reason we need to chill, but it's worth it! 😉)

What you're going to need for this recipe:

Melted butter- a reason the cookies are soft and chewy... for days!

Vanilla- adds a great flavor to the cookies, like in many recipes!

Cornstarch- a weapon ingredient in many recipes! Like my chocolate chip muffins! Cornstarch ensures the cookies to hold their shape, and they stay soft!

Sprinkles- any will work! I like to use the long, traditional ones, but feel free to add your favorite!

Unsalted butter like always! That way we have control on how much salt we add.

  1. Stir together the cooled melted butter and sugars.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla and stir well.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then gradually add them to the wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in the sprinkles, then cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge.

Be careful not to add all your flour mixture at once or your dough will be dry and crumbly!

  1. Scoop chilled dough and roll into smooth balls before placing them onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before enjoying.

Reflection:

There’s something sweet about how simple ingredients can come together to create something joyful. These cookies remind us that even small moments — a handful of sprinkles, a warm oven, a quiet afternoon — can bring unexpected brightness. Baking can be a gentle way to slow down, breathe, and share a little love with the people around us.

Frequently asked questions:

Do I have to chill my dough?

Yes! This is the only downside to using melted butter, but it’s so important. Chilling helps the flavor develop and prevents the funfetti cookies from spreading too much on the baking sheet.

Can I add chocolate chips?

If you want, but I highly suggest not to.
